I had another wonderful shave from the Schick Band razor last night. I only have the one head for it and no idea how many shaves are left on it so I try to not use it too much. It is a weird feeling razor but the shaves are great. Here is the video of the shave too!!

That is cool. I have the Techmatic band razor. I consider it a gimmick razor, but as I revisited it this year, I found that I got a great shave.

The Schick Autoband was brought to market in 1966 and looks very similar to the Gillette Techmatic which was released in 1965. I only have the Gillette Techmatic which are easier to find. American Safety Razor didn't make a band razor for men that I'm aware of but they did make the disposable "Flicker" band razor for women. They released the Flicker in 1971 and it became a major hit in the woman's razor market, and was finally retired in 2006. I can see it now....Fuzzy shaving with a ASR Flicker on YouTube.
