For Veterans Day, I will be using my 1918 Property of the US Army Unmentionable. I am happy to have served from 1967 to 1970 in the US Army.

I was going to use my ER again today and try it with a wedge adapter but the JB weld blade stop failed. So I went with the Gem Jr. Bar and a Grm Featherweight. The Jr. Bar is a smoother more efficient razor for me and is my top favorite so far and for good reason. My wife shaved the back of my neck with the featherweight Mer Shavings barber shop and two band badger handled the lather. Menthol Monday's Veterans Day ShaveCold Water Rinse Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap Jayaruh #313 1918 Unmentionable Unmentionable CWR Osage Rub Today, in honor of Veterans Day, I am using my 1918 US Army Unmentionable. The brush is my Vietnam ribbon brush. Happy Veterans Day to all the vets out there. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the 1918 Army Unmentionable razor with an unmentionable blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

First use of the (Chinese) Suneko blades (not sure where I got these), stacked two in the Shake Sharp, first pass not particularly sharp or smooth but they got better and by the end of the head shave I was perfectly content, Best Shave A Man Can Get Even With Unknown Chinese Blade. Love the Proraso also.

Good Monday Shave. It's Veteran's Day or Armistice Day here depending on your age. I never heard it called Veteran's day by my grandparents. Here's a bit of info about the name change. time.com/4555301/armistice-day-veterans-day/Thanks all who have served. This week marks a shift in my shaving habits. I'm going to be trying to instill a little discipline. I'm going to make an effort to go with the same setup each week. On Sunday, I'll pick my setup and then stick to it for most shaves during the week. Maybe I'll change things up with a TOST Tuesday or Williams Wednesday, but that is only changing the soap for those days. The razor and brush will be the same all week. I haven't decided what to do aftershave/balm wise yet. These are my tools of the week. Razor - Supply Injector Brush - Vie Long Horse Soap - Cella Witch Hazel followed by Castle and Forbes1445 Balm I always use witch hazel, every shave no matter what.
