Here's a weird one, I think. It's just a standard 1930s model Enders Speed Razor (not to be confused the the later Speed "Shaver"), but it has "Compliments of the American Airlines" branding. Seems like an odd thing for an airline to distribute, but perhaps it was typical for the time. Regardless, because I hadn't seen one before, I decided to make this my first Enders Speed "Razor" acquisition. I'm obviously quite familiar with the later models, so I assume blade adaptation will the same. I am impressed with the label execution. It appears to have some kind of sheen over the label itself---almost like a fine coating of lacquer, so it endured my hot water soak and polish just fine.

VERY cool....thanks for sharing it with us!!! The fact that it's a Speed Razor and not a Speed Shaver is pretty interesting. I remember being on an international flight as a kid, and the bathroom on the big plane had small cologne bottles -- like tiny glass samples. I was around 4 and I remember cramming my pockets full with them and high-tailing it back to my seated parents, wherein my Dad took me by the hand and made me return them to the bathroom....this was the late 60's. My point being that I'm sure airlines provided passengers with shave kits back-in-the-day....and American Airlines started in 1930, so perhaps it was a given out to passengers on longish flights, or just to all passengers as part of a promotional dopp kit. Really great find!!!

I have seen some airline sets. I have one somewhere that has a Schick L in it. I do not remember what the airline was actually. They did give out personal care sets looks like. That is a great find and awesome looking razor. Thanks for posting.
