Thursday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Mitchell's Wool Fat Jayaruh #313 Eversharp G Personna CWR Cella After Shave My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Eversharp G razor with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

21/11/2019 Pre: Pears Transparent Original Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Soap: Arran Machrie Razor: XXXXX X Blade: XXXXXXXXX Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Witch Hazel Balm: Barts Balm lavender Lotion / Arran Machrie Aftershave: Arran Machrie A much smoother shave today using a well reviewed unmentionable blade paired with an unmentionable adjustable. I started on 2.5 but found it a bit light, Dialed it to 3 and i seemed to be getting the smooth shave i was after. I did get some minor indication from the Alum block so tomorrow i will dial it back to 2.75 and see how it goes. More positive about that shave with this combo. A very nice post shave with the Barts lotion putting back the suppleness, the Arran Balm and splash finishing off a shave i am really happy about. Have a great day All.

Jayaruh, what scent is the Cella After Shave? Shea butter and almond. So much like the soap then. I've thought about getting some, maybe I will.

So much like the soap then. I've thought about getting some, maybe I will. I am becoming a fan of the balms. It is a nice way to finish a good shave.

I put on some Ragtime (I really like Scott Joplin) and loaded a new Schick Proline B into my GEM Zinn Automatic for an amazing shave. I had several days growth, but after one-single-pass I was easily CCS. The second pass made it a straight-up DFS, and I stopped. No touch-up, no blood, no irritation, no worries in the world. The soap was Men's Soap Company's Bay Rum -- an easy to lather, super slick soap with an amazing scent. The brush was a Jayaruh (JR #270) synthetic boar-style knot with an "old fashioned" handle. This Lather Catcher is still fairly new to me (this is maybe my 3rd shave with it), but it is so comfortable and easy to use, that it was an easy choice to make....a GEM style razor and a Schick styled blade, what's not to love?!!! Oh and yes, I did have some fun with a little filter-play on the pic -- and I still need to really work on the lighting when I'm taking the shot -- the Zinn got bleached out by the light.
