What I find hilarious is that I suspect many of you would be praising the living h377 out of this had it launched in 1910 and been made of brass. You would have loved the fact that someone stuck to King G by taking his blades and breaking them in half (I know unmentionable blades were slightly different back then, but had Broman been out in 1910 they would have sold a blade snapper that we'd now find super collectable too in the same way that the auto strops and what not are. ) They even make mention of us "You see, the geezers back in our grandad’s day only had one blade, and they looked as sharp as a tack." bromanshaving.com/pages/the-broman-storyBut they had the good sense to not make ugly crapola in 1910. I call BS. Had this been made in 1910 out of all Brass, I would be willing to bet many here would own this baby.

Now days it is just cheap junk. But in all honesty you make a valid point.

I would hate the thought of trying to break an unmentionable blade in half in 1910, the blades were carbon steel and thicker. OS was here.

The materials aren't my cup of tea, but on the other hand I have one made completely out of plastic (TNNSER) that works great. And talking about materials, did they use brass back in the day because it was the best stuff they could find, or was it the common easy to use material for this kind of thing? I'm guessing that to be the case. I would hate the thought of trying to break a 3 hole King G blade in half in 1910, the blades were carbon steel and thicker. Yes, they would have had to include some sort of snapper, cutter or marketed blades for it.

My new fangled thingy I 'met" 2 weeks ago. I had to get some surgery done and they had to shave me as part of the prep. If they had only told me I could have done a much better job. So the nurse brings out this battery operated "thing" with a disposable head and tried to shave me. Note the use of the word "tried". She gave up after a time and stated that she had to get a new head for the thing. Tried again with much the same result. For something supposed to cut hair it was pretty useless. She quit and stated, well, they can shave you in the operating room. I don't remember seeing a good shave job after coming to. As I wrote, if they had just let me know where they wanted me shaved I could have actually done a good lob of it. Maybe they're concerned about MERSA, I am too. But I use my razors frequently and it hasn't been a problem for me yet and it would be if I had a problem with it at home.
I have more surgery coming up relatively soon and you can be sure I'll ask for that procedure (or procedures).
Off subject but I was unable to lift much or drive at all and we can have snow at any time. In fact snow is waaay overdue. I dodged a bullet this time. We got virtually nothing. I can now drive and plow the snow again so as I wrote we dodged a bullet. Snow is forecast for the next 2 days but no one is predicting the amount yet.

Had my chest, groin, and left leg shaved for heart surgery in '01, they really need to get something that works.

Fuzzy, I think it's a hospital policy of some sort to use crappy unmentionables that buzz. Heck, I don't mind shaving myself at home.
TobyC, it was a double hernia but done with a robot. Four tiny incisions done above my navel to work on my groin. At least one more surgery to go and maybe 2 that I know of now. I want to be done with them before warm weather sets in.

Times will get better and I eagerly anticipate an end to the cutting and recuperation cycles. If they were electives they'd never be done. But I'll never be in better shape than I am right now so get things done while I still heal quickly.
