Just in: three sticks of wood for turning. Honduras Rosewood, Patagonian Rosewood, and Marblewood. These are going to make some fine handles. Absolutely and looking forward to seeing them after the transformation (aka turning)!

While waiting for my LC to make it across the pond i was looking at antique razors on EBay Fr. as recommended by @flintstone Anyway i saw what i thought was a full working model but it was a bit dirty. i could always use the handle and a cheeky offer went in. Today this turned up. The Blades are past there best and the box will need a bit work, but might be salvageable. The Razor was given a soak, soft brush and soap wash, a good soak in the Barbicide then repeated the process again. I carefully dried it off, and then a gentle polish and all joints etc were oiled with some light sewing machine oil. Result Best £8.51 i have spent.

I have that model and find it shaves extremely well, but mine isn't in nearly that nice of condition. If you haven't checked riverrun 's excellent work on these razors (and many others), you really should. Here's the link: Kampfe Star Razors

I saw that one a little while ago and was briefly tempted, but I already have the exact same model. It's a HR-14B. One of the most common Kampfe models around. Still.. great price. Great job cleaning it up.

Picked up G4 Schick 66 at an antique mall not far away. It looks black in the pic, but it's a deep blue.

Christmas gifts from my family. 2 creams, a Royal Copenhagen aftershave, and 2 canned gel. We will see how it all performs in upcoming shaves.

I received a fresh jar of Martin De Candre Fougere. Easily my favorite soap, and one that is generally out of my price range. I was pleasantly surprised to have it gifted to me!
