This was my bright idea. So here was my thought. There are so many cool SE razors that take proprietary blades. We know some like Auto Strop VC 2 and earlier, Enders and more.
I figured that sense we have some members that are quite handy at modifying these. We should have a dedicated area for it. Let’s try to keep 1 thread per Particular razor. I encourage multiple people posting their way. As we know my way might not resonate with you and vis versa.
Try to be detail oriented and pictures or even Videos. I will start trying to get some going this weekend
Let’s bring some old steel back to life. It will only expand our variety and we may learn something in the process.
Thanks for your contributions ahead of time. Tom

Nice idea. I have several razors that come from a now defunct proprietary lineage. However, most of mine have rather readily available work arounds. My Valet and Autostrop razors will either take a despined Gem or a Feather FHS-10 blades (yuck to the FHS-10 though). My Christy razors will accept an injector also...I'm open to explore other options for the sake better/cheaper shaves! Excited to see what this thread provides.

I have not used a christy. Is it hard to find one that will shave?

Not in my experience...The bottom bar that supports the blade can become loose but all thats required is some elbow grease to bend it back into blade pinching shape. Mine shave quite well actually.

If you can, resize before. This is a huge 3285x3024px file ...

The picture appears smallish on my desktop. Because of the resize I add to my post. If you open in other page you can read the actual size. When I post my pics, all are way smaller (max 1000x1000px) but more than enjoyable. I resize the file when upload. As well I clear my quotes. Better to the forum server and user, and Mother Earth.

I use postimage for my pictures. I am not super computer guy. Others can help with that.

I use postimage for my pictures. I highly recommend Imgur. imgur.com/imgur.com/mobileA couple of good reasons ... 1. It is part of the BBCode architecture 2. Allows editing and resizing 3. Offers options for inserting photos with different sizes Above all, the first one prevents the image from disappearing over time.

I love imgur...although I do wish I could just post directly from my photo gallery in my phone. I'll post through imgur from now on. Thank you for the tip.

Some of us have also had success with Postimage.org -- it's free, does allow you to post from your photo gallery in your phone, and while basic, it gets the job done.
