ER 1924 / BRW Improved handle Gem Stainless PTFE 3 Semogue BC Mistura CO Bigelow SC Dr. Sana Alcoholado
Another nice shave with the ER 1924. With the longer handle, I really like this shave the razor provides. I think I am going to stick with it for a while to dial in my technique. Not even a dozen shaves with it and it is keeping pace with my preferred razors. Enjoy your day.
RazoRock Syn. 24mm P & B Spitfire Gem Micromatic Gem S/S [ 3 ] P &B Spitfire A/S Splash
Having not used The Micromatic for a while I was aware that this Shave did not need to be rushed. Got it about right as the Shave was rather smooth and comfortable, apart from around the chin especially the tip where the Razor felt ready to bite if I was not careful. My care was rewarded with an extremely close all round finish that Top Notch.

Pears Glycerine Soap Cyril R Salter French Vetiver Shaving Cream Yaqi Moka Express 26mm 2BB Brush Turkish Copper Bowl GEM Featherweight with a GEM SS Blade (#4) Thayers Witch Hazel with Cucumber Simple Moisturiser Monotheme Vetiver Bourbon EDT
I can only describe this cream as 'Vintage' with old packaging and the old formulation. This has to be one of my favourite Vetiver scents.......really dirty and earthy. 3 passes for a perfect shave with masses of feel good factor.

Cold Water Rinse Arko High Performance Shave Cream Tom's 3D Printed Brush C.V. Heljestrand Gem SE CWR Lilac Vegetal
My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Arko Shave Cream face lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher razor with a Gem SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Lilac Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Saturday DECember 14
EverReady SE shave today.
Bowl/Scuttle - GP12 Soap - Le Pere Lucien Brush - Jayaruh #330 White Oak Blade - GEM SE SS (3) Razor - EverReady 1933-34 SE Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Pinaud Clubman A/S
Shave rating 5 of 5
Surprised by today's shave. The blade is getting a little old and this razor and blade just gave me one of the best shaves I've ever received. Very smooth, could feel and hear the blade but it wasn't overly aggressive. A two pass shave, WTG and XTG, and it was easily BBS. The LPL produced great lather that was nice and thick and slick. The Jayaruh brush is a really nice brush. The alum was SILENT. Finished up with the Clubman.
I went with the Schick Golden 500 today with a Chick blade. Preshave was just a little coconut oil. Lathered up with Mer Shavings fougere orange on two band badger. Finished off with a witch hazel splash. Very comfortable fun shave.

carlfrommo: Hey guys. Last minute question here. What shot size should I use for flying reindeer?
Dec 24, 2019 22:11:29 GMT -6
ordinaryshaver: You want to use 3 1/2 in magnum lead shot, in size T. Problem solved.

ordinaryshaver: No steel, too light and use an extra full choke, unless you have a good blind setup

carlfrommo: Well, last night was a failure. I had one shot, and I didn't lead the red-nosed one enough. I think I ended up shooting the driver. Might have gotten him in the leg. Hard to tell because he was wearing red pants and coat.

carlfrommo: He turned his sled away and landed on the roof two blocks down. Out of range for a second shot. I did notice he walked with a bit of a limp though. He shouldn't be coming in my yard anyway.

mrconklin: Last time I hunted waterfowl. 2 3/4 shells were standard and the cool kids were starting to play with the 3 inch, but most guns weren't made for them. Steel was also just starting to be mandated on Federal and State land.
