I've been on a vintage Avon kick lately and I've found them to be fantastic. Many of the scents are knock-offs of other top performers. Avon Spice is an obvious choice, it is a more muted Shulton without the staying power...which I don't mind. The Blend 7 is a fresh scent that I find pairs well with Irish scent soaps. It is very refreshing and one of my favorites. Tia Winds, Excalibur, Wild Country...the list goes on and I have yet to find one I won't use. Perhaps the best part is that at least where I am you can find them cheap (under $5 for a full bottle in most cases) and the bottles are also fun. My only complaint is the car bottles. Some of them won't sit on the rear end meaning that the cap is parallel to the floor so trying to pour and apply AS without setting the bottle down is a real challenge (first world problems...I know).
Anyone else enjoying vintage Avon?

I do, but the wife is not keen on them. I have maybe 6-8 that are near full if anybody is interested.

I have Avon Spice in the unmentionable shaped bottle & cap. Not bad, not much staying power though I agree.

I have 3 different ones. The same as above, except in green, one that looks like a spark plug, and one that looks like a duracell battery. Can't remember the scents, but they are all alcohol rich.

This thread has pushed me to look at the modern offerings. I bought some Black Suede and it seems ok I had no idea Avon was still making AS. Although, I'll probably stick with vintage as they are available and cheap...and there are still a few scents I haven't acquired yet.

What scents are you lacking? I've seen the Oland about but haven't purchased it yet. Same with the Bay Rum. There may be others. Here's what I have from memory, which is scetchy... Leather Blend 7 (this one is a favorite) Spice (I also love Old Spice and knockoffs) Wild Country Tia Winds I wish I could find one with menthol, but haven't found any yet. Does anybody know of one? Anything I'm missing feel free to make suggestions!

According to the box that one is actually a cologne. They tend to have a higher alcohol content and fewer additions to sooth the face post shave. Although I'm sure the scent is the same. I use Florida Water as an aftershave and it stings (a lot of denatured alcohol) it just smell so nice...
