Whilst away I missed yesterdays Shave as feeling a bit under the weather. Made up for it today as used the Travel Razor to great effect, as worked very well and I got a superb close all round finish without any problems.
Cold Water Rinse Vintage Life Licorice Shave Soap Jayaruh #41 Unmentionable CWR Aqua Velva Musk
My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Vintage Life Licorice Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #41 Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the unmentionable razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Pre: Pears Transparent Original Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm Soap: Proraso Red Razor: EverReady 1912 Bathroom set (Festival of Britain 1951) Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (1) Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Astringent Balm: Bart's Balm Amber and Moroccan Jasmine Balm & Lotion Aftershave: Hugo Boss Night
A gentle, relaxed shave today with the 1951 EverReady bathroom set. A new blade fitted so only completed 2 passes WTG and ATG with a little buffing under the jawline on my devils whirlpools. I did get some light indications from the Alum block, this seems to be the norm with the 1st shave of a new blade in these razors for me. The Barts Balm lotion and Balm sorted out any issues i had leaving me soft and supple. Finishing with a splash of Hugo Boss resulting in a very nice overall shave. DFS+, feeling and smelling good and ready for my visit with the Mothership. Have a great Sunday All.

9nein9: To like or not to like the like button? That is the question. Our society thrives off the like button it seems . I'm not sure if I like it or I don't like it.Just kind of got used to it .

carlfrommo: Hey guys. Last minute question here. What shot size should I use for flying reindeer?
Dec 24, 2019 22:11:29 GMT -6
ordinaryshaver: You want to use 3 1/2 in magnum lead shot, in size T. Problem solved.

ordinaryshaver: No steel, too light and use an extra full choke, unless you have a good blind setup

carlfrommo: Well, last night was a failure. I had one shot, and I didn't lead the red-nosed one enough. I think I ended up shooting the driver. Might have gotten him in the leg. Hard to tell because he was wearing red pants and coat.

carlfrommo: He turned his sled away and landed on the roof two blocks down. Out of range for a second shot. I did notice he walked with a bit of a limp though. He shouldn't be coming in my yard anyway.

mrconklin: Last time I hunted waterfowl. 2 3/4 shells were standard and the cool kids were starting to play with the 3 inch, but most guns weren't made for them. Steel was also just starting to be mandated on Federal and State land.
