Menthol Monday's ShaveI am using my 1914 Ever-Ready and my new "Civil War" replica brush JR#380 this week. Cold Water Rinse Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap Jayaruh #380 Horse Ever-Ready 1914 Army GEM Stainless SE CWR Osage Rub This is my first shave with the Ever-Ready and the first shave with Jayaruh #380. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #380 Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Ever-Ready 1914 Army razor with a GEM Stainless SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

13/01/2020 Pre: 1912 Club Cola Brush: JR #355 Maggards Knot Soap: 1912 Irish Fern Razor: Schick E3 Blade: PAL - NOS (3) Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Bay Rum Astringent Balm: Barts Balm Rosemary and Sandalwood Lotion & Balm Aftershave: Old Spice Original A great shave today with the little Butterscotch E3, although not trying for BBS, the 3 passes were enough to achieve it and still keep my skin feeling comfortable, could my technique still be improving? I Hope so, i did have a superb Lather for the job. The Blade is also pretty good. A very nice post shave although maybe not a great match for the soap. Hey Ho, i think i will try the CK Be next time and maybe a different balm. I cannot complain about the result. Have a great Day All.

Good Monday morning, everyone. Razor - lady Eversharp Injector Soap- Chiseled Face Ghost town Barber Brush - Simpson Badger Making an effort to learn how various soaps leave my face by themselves so I’m not usually using AS or balm unless I think I really need to.

January 13 -- SOTD A new-to-me British Ever-Ready 1912 Bathroom Set (case not pictured -- trying to get some hard water staining off of it) was the tool of choice today. Usually a brand new GEM SS PTFE blade can be on the harsh-side for me, but this razor and blade gave me a comfortable, effortless and inadvertent BBS shave....my face feels dolphin-smooth. Soap was the Meissner Tremonia Dark Lime, which was lathered with a Yaqi 24mm 2-band badger in a Mysterious Space handle. Awesome shave today....and I'll post up more pics on this razor and case when I get things "more shiny".

I got one a few months back which was NOS from a Pharmacy which had closed but was a snapshot in time. It will have to be prised from my dead fingers!

Yes, I blagged 3 packs for £10, they were found in a stock room of a long closed chemist shop. I also got a couple of brushes, an HFT, a J type shick and a couple of 1912's all NOS. Lucky Boy, Oh and 200 unmentionable unobtainable blades.
