i figured I would post here as this seems to get the most traffic. What sites are y’all using? Please keep in mind I do all ofmy Image posting on my phone through Tapatalk. I will occasionally use my IPad (as I am now posting this) so input around these parameters will be most handy. I can use safari to access the forum also. As long as I can post images here using a host site.
I have used Imgur in the past. But messing around with it today it seems to be lacking the advanced settings to resize and post a link correctly. That is to make the image show up and not having to click the link.
Thanks Tom

I am of no help. I usually just do a local upload. Meaning via my phone. Perhaps Fred Flintstone can help

Hi Tom ( twhite) -- like Brian, I use Postimage.org -- it works on both the PC and my iPhone. It's free, just takes an email address. I'm afraid I can't help you with another service, I don't have any experience with anything other than Postimage.

I don't trust any image hosting sites. They tend to go away (Dropbox public folders) or start charging lots of money (photobucket). Therefore I host my images on my own server. That's a hoster I can trust Not a solution for everyone.

The problem with Imgur is that they delete (or so they say) images that see no use after 6 months.

Been using Imgur hosting since photobucket started charging. I also keep a backup of all my shaving photos on computer just in case.

It's not the loss of images so much as loss of the images that are used in a post or thread. One would need to go back into every thread written and put the new location of the photo where it needs to be.
But bear in mind I have no direct knowledge that Imgur actually does what I read their policy was. Do they actually delete pix that see no use? Is that even still in their user agreement?

I use postimages. Works great from the computer or phone. However, I fully expect it to not be free forever. Nothing in life is free. So someday my images will go poof and I won't care.
I have a server I could host them on, but then would have to put more thought into the right kind of link, possible resizing, etc. Hoops I won't jump through for the odd photo in a forum. Really the only reason I do it here is because otherwise it needs to be paid for and it seems like it's only one person stepping up. I'd throw in a five per year and if enough of us did so, we'd have it covered.

The problem with Imgur is that they delete (or so they say) images that see no use after 6 months. Yes, but only if they're public on no traffic page. I've a couple of hidden (no public) album, as the one that picture of 2018 is from. And a lot of pic on the forums that stand in the last decade. Forums are always seen by newbies. No prob about delete. This is my experience.
