09/03/2020 Pre: Sainsbury's Luxury Soap, Bergamot & Nectarine Brush: Jayaruh #291 Tuxedo Knot Soap: Vintage Cussons 1950's Razor: GEM MicroMatic Open Comb Blade: Personna Injector (2) Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Bat Rum Astringent Balm: Bart's Balm Lime Balm & Lotion Aftershave: Mäurer & Wirtz 4711 EDC This vintage cream is a joy to use, the Jayaruh Brush whipping it up into a lovely slick lather. It carries just a light scent and it smells very "clean". I used the MMOC with an Injector blade fitted, it really works well for me and is very comfortable. 2 passes and a little buffing for a fantastic finish. A very nice post shave with the 4711 complimenting the Barts Balm very nicely. I enjoyed that. Enjoy your day all.

Give it a whirl, just make sure it is level and even when the cap closes. I really like it and was also enabled by one of the SOTD's. I also think Fuzzy did a video on it. T

I'm a day late (and almost always a dollar short), but I thought I'd post up my Monday shave anyway. My GEMonday was a 1907 Gem Junior, and while the shave was good, it could have been better....I suspect the well-used GEM SS PTFE blade may be giving up the ghost. The handle that came with "Junior" was a small metal handle, but it was in BAD shape, so I used a Gem celluloid handle (probably from a Gem Elite Junior). It was also my first time using Saponificio Varesino shaving soap...the Felce Aromatico (aka Fern Scent), and it....was....AWESOME! It lathered quickly and made a nice yogurty lather, and I love the Fougere (scusa, intendo felce). And the lather was made with a JR #373 brush.
