By the by...how do other carbon blade users store their blades between shaves? I've just been keeping mine in a razor I KNOW is dry and stored in a dry box in another dry box (don't want the kids getting their hands on my shave gear)

So basically I dry them off thoroughly and use the cardboard wrapper that they usually come with to re-wrap them. For those without a cardboard wrapper, like the ones I buy in bulk, I will either make a little protective sleeve for it, or I'll use an empty pill container for storage with a silica packet in it. The little cardboard sleeve is also what I typically use to keep track of how many shaves are on the blade....little hash marks or dots made with a felt tip pen.

I put it on the shelf in the medicine cabinet with the razor over it.

I like that idea of s silica packet and pill box 🤔

Usually after I dry a blade I put it on top of my storage rack. Seems to work ok. I do not keep up with number of shaves. A blade will tell you when it is going out.

Keeping track of the number of shaves on a blade is a fools errand, all blades die differently. You'll know when it's time.
