19/03/20 Pre: Sainsbury's Luxury Soap, Bergamot & Nectarine Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Soap: Stirling Soap co. Sandalwood Razor: Rocnel SE-P 316 Blade: Perma-sharp SE Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, EO Infused Witch Hazel Balm: Barts Balm Rosemary and Sandalwood Balm & Lotion Aftershave: Proraso Red I was lucky enough to adopt the "Most F£$$&N' dangerous Razor in the World" from Arthur Electrif in the Rocnel SE-P. Its a very weighty razor and i think with a bit blade prep delivers a fantastic no issue shave. A great Lather today from the brush and soap, mixed up in the Bideford pottery bowl, i really like the Stirling Soap Co.products. A new Perma-Sharp fitted in the SE-P, i clip the corners of the cutting edge as these can sometime scratch in certain areas. 3 Passes for a nice comfortable BBS finish. Very Nice. Using This Razor always puts a smile on my face as around the time i adopted it i watched a video of 1st use of this razor. I would not let the bloke near a sharp stick never mind a razor. For your viewing pleasure:- Enjoy your day All

Today I used my Schick g, chick blade 3rd use, local artisan green clover soap, crown king syn brush, paa outdoorsman's friend star jelly. Shave result was good. For some reason the green clover soap won't make as nice a lather as the oatmeal honey from the same artisan. It lathers just can't get it as thick. Regardless good shave near bbs no irritation. www.flickr.com/photos/187068272@N03/49677293726/in/album-72157713546574602/

Friday 20th March Yaqi Aluminium Tux - Glycerine Cologne soap - GEM Push Button - GEM SSC#5 - Brut A/S - Lacura Aloe Moisturiser There doesn't seem to be many transparent glycerine based shaving soaps available, especially in the UK. This one I found on eBay, from China. I'm sure I was enabled by a forum member. It has a fair cologne scent, lathers easily, is extremely slick and has good performance. It can be melted, (with care, in the microwave) so can be poured into a tub. Mine is an empty Erasmic tub. I certainly wasn't disappointed with today's result.

My first use of a new-to-me Lady Eversharp (1972 to 1975). My understanding is that it was the last of the Lady Eversharp line. The blade was a brand new Chinese Schick, and the soap was RazoRock Alchemy lathered with a Yaqi Familia Sagrada 24mm Tuxedo. This is a high-comfort, low-efficiency razor, and 3 passes gave me a reasonably close and very comfortable shave!

21/03/2020 Pre: Sainsbury's Luxury Soap, Bergamot & Nectarine Brush: Yaqi Silver Wolf Mysterious 24mm Soap: Arko Stick Razor: Pal Injectomatic Blade: PAL (3) Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Witch Hazel Balm: Tony'schin's Neroli & Orange infused Argan Oil Aftershave: OSP Neroli I Find the Arko soap scent a bit Industrial, the performance for me though is first rate. I had a very good lather today from some chips pressed into the bowl with a couple of drops of water while i set up. It whipped up plenty of slick, thick, protection for my shave. The PAL was NOS when i got it and it is on its 3rd outing since leaving the factory. She is an efficient razor and thought i may have overdone it with the 3rd pass, however, the Alum block told me all was OK. A nice post shave leaving me soft and supple BBS and smelling pretty good too. Enjoy your weekend all and stay safe.

Mine I believe is a 60s model it has it and has reasonable efficiency and is comfortable.

Mine I believe is a 60s model it has it and has reasonable efficiency and is comfortable. Yep, I have the hydromagic lever. There was someone on another forum pulling information on various models of Schicks who had put their guesstimate on dates, and I should know better than posting date info on Schicks or really any SE razor. Truth is that I am intrigued with when razors were made/sold, but the info is so sparse and the discussions often become so heated that I (usually) try to stay clear of razor-date discussions. That said, I like knowing what was going on in the world when the razor was in it's "hey day", so I can't help myself when it comes to trying to learn about dates. As to efficiency, I should've said "relatively" lower efficiency. Basically I look at efficiency as a comparison thing....I find the Schick A1 and C3 much more efficient than this Lady Eversharp. It's not like I didn't get a smooth shave, it's just that it took me a solid 3 passes (instead of two with other razors) and the growth came back in under 6 hours. That could absolutely be a technique thing with this new-to-me razor, but even with the results I got, I would agree with you that it does have "reasonable efficiency" and it is definitely a comfortable shaver.
