Anyhow. I picked up this Pall Mall several months age. When I got it I realized that the roller guard was extremely sloppy. Not safe to shave with. Today I finally fixed it. Forgive me I forgot before pictures. I took it apart. Very easy there are 4 small screws that hold it all together. Once removed. I was able to remove the roller. Now on the ends of the roller there are 2 small shafts. They should measure 1.5mm or 1/16 of an inch. Measuring what I had. It was .75mm or 1/32” diameter. I put it in a lathe and knocked the shafts off. I then drilled 1/16” hole each side. I then pressed in 2 Stainless dowel pins. Ground to length.050 long. Then assembled.

Nice, but why not brass pins?

Galvanic corrosion may happen, but I don't know how fast.

Galvanic corrosion may happen, but I don't know how fast. that is very possible. If it does, I will replace with brass.
