Checking in on everyone. How is everyone? Anyone have it? Know someone who has it? Hopefully not. But knowledge is always helpful. Stay safe and healthy guys.

We have no known cases in our county so far. Given Interstate 57 borders our city on the east side, I think we are extremely fortunate. Hope everyone here and their loved ones are well!!

Good here. About 15 cases in my county. 550 in the next county over. It pays to NOT live in the city. Been working from home since the beginning of March. Fortunate to be able to do that. Feel for those that can't. I have a cousin that had it (confirmed via test) and recovered. She got it on a business trip and was sick when she got home. She quarantined in her house and had to sign a letter she would not leave. Her husband took care of here. They have three kids in the house and no one else got sick. That had to about be a miracle.

Good here. Rural life hasn't changed anything at all. When we/I go into town we're forced to comply. I go into the hospital 2x/week and need to answer questions. If I felt the way they describe or did any of the things they ask, I'd stay home. Where I go we're all at high risk and I don't want to be Typhoid Mary to the few still showing up. At home and outdoors life goes on without change. Our closest neighbor is 100 yards away and when we talk it's not above city sounds and conversation can easily happen at 30' and has in the past even without social distancing.
Maine has under 700 positive tests, mostly in southern Maine, our county very few. Statewide under 20 deaths and those folks had underlying conditions same as I do.

We have been in lock-down now for 3 weeks, both my wife and I are classed as key workers so we are still going to work, this week though we have a week off (thankfully). One of the Girls who works for me was unlucky enough to be diagnosed with the virus and it went through the whole family, Her Son and Husband were both taken to hospital and put on oxygen, The son ended up in ICCU and was there over a week, thankfully she received some good news yesterday, Her husband was released and her son is due home today. A real scary time for her. I think we are coming to the peak in the UK, although i also believe we in the North are about 2 weeks behind London. My Wife works in the hospital and there are at least 10 x 40ft cold storage containers in the Carpark to deal with any predicted over-spill from the morgue, still a very scary time. Stay Safe All

Thanks to all for participating. These days nothing on the news can be trusted. I like word of mouth from real people.

Dittos Vintagelife. I haven't trusted the talking heads for decades and even less lately.
The press briefings have driven some jokes.
Q: What's the difference comparing GOD and a journalist? A: GOD doesn't think he's a journalist.
Q: How does a journalist change a lightbulb? A: He holds the bulb and lets the world revolve around him.
Q: What is 5 miles long and has an IQ of 30? A: A parade of journalists.
Q: What do you call 100 journalists at the bottom of the ocean? A: A good start.
They claim before every newscast regarding the WuFlu that they have only facts and not fear. That's true. But I walk through the supermarket and I see people fully protecting their chin alone with their mask. others without the bridge of the nose strip fitted to them to form a seal. Others without all of the straps around the head. Still others, uninfected, wearing masks made of fabric, useful for the infected who are actively spewing, but not much good if uninfected to prevent one from getting it. Where is the information that people can actually use to help prevent infection? The so called "journalists" cover handwashing and distancing ad nausium, but nothing about actually how to wear protective gear (PPE). I think one of these days I'll wear a full protective suit, gloves, face shield and respirator to the supermarket and see how they handle it.
Facts and not fear? Really? The death rate for Covid-19 uses the people who test positive and the people who die. That gives a pretty high number. Then it's compared to the flu where they use the number of deaths and the much larger number of total population to get a much lower death rate. Facts and not fear... Right!
I have more but I have to run!

We're OK here. Ohio shut down early, we hadn't had a single death. 3 1/2 weeks working from home, wearing masks at the store, trying to order stuff online as much as possible. 450 cases in our county with 30 deaths. But lots of people outside walking, exercising, being friendlier than before

Great info. Im in an undisclosed location somewhere on the east coast of America. Out surrounded by rural areas, nice and safe away from any big city. Some wear masks but many dont to market. Sneeze shields in the market and lowes hardware for cashiers here. I carry my mask in my pocket because if I go in there and everyone has one, I dont want to be the odd man out. Havent used it yet. I go to market at 7am when they first open and people dont really trickle in till 8:30am. We have homemade masks my wife sewed up that arent face sealing. Better to keep a sick person from coughing everywhere than to keep an airtight particulate mask for prevention. But sealing masks are nowhere to be found, so I am grateful for what she made.
All incoming mail sits unopened for 5 days. All incoming groceries go in the mud room for sanitizing before we bring them in the house. Things like cans or boxes of non perishables sit for minimum 3 days before we eat from them. Fresh veg is quickly dipped in a full sink with a tablespoon of bleach and immediatley rinsed off in cool water. Plastic bags like a bag of chips get wiped down with lysol on a paper towel.
I only contact the outside world every 20 days for food and that is it. I had pneumonia once that got so bad that I have scar tissue in my lungs and diminished capacity. Also developed reactive airway disease from that. So I am high risk for something like this killing me. My wife is healthy and should be fine. I just need to be extra careful, and am satisfied with my level of disinfection of all incoming supplies.

So far here in my county in Nevada we've had 10 cases. Much more over in Reno about 40 miles away. A lot more in Vegas. Nothing compared to other places though. Was off on paid leave for a couple weeks. The wife is still been going to work at a long-term care facility and supposedly nobody there has caught it. hopefully it stays that way as I used to work there too and there's some really great people there. I only ventured out of the house a couple times to get groceries for us. One time a Hispanic guy and his whole family was in Walmart and my wife was wearing her mask and he tells her that it will just make her sick. She walked away saying well you can't fix stupid.
