Although the first and second parts of the news conference with doctors Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi cannot be watched on YouTube, the second part is can be accessed on 3rd party web sites, just search for "YouTube Censors Video of California Doctors Calling for Reopening of Country" on your favorite search engine. Well worth listening too. Some people may think these 2 doctors, which are certainly not alone in their professional opinions are "tin foil hat" wearers because they dispute the very unscientific positions of the political overlords, their "experts" and media talking heads. Some people may even think that extraordinary public health interventions like destroying economies and peoples lives shows good leadership by their favorite politicians.

Or some may think they are simply not very good at basic statistics, which leads them and potential viewers to unfounded conclusions. Doesn't make them tin hat wearers it makes them presumably competent MDs who aren't as capable as epidemiologists. YouTube's censorship is unfortunately giving this a lot more attention than it warrants given the obvious methodology issues.

It's like Mark Twain's famous quote that he attributed to Benjamin Disraeli, 'There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics' I think I've had my fill of "experts" and their statistics, models predicting impending doom, and recommendations that fly in the face of common sense. It's like there's a financial benefit to them to scare the bejesus out of the public and keep it that way for as long as possible. Can't let a crisis go to waste, don't ya know? It reminds me of Al Gore and his ridiculous experts. predicting impending disaster due to global warming back in the day. They made a lot of money from that movie that proved to be not so scientific, but more like Sci-Fi. I suppose there are folks likewise raking in the dough from this COVID-19 scare-fest. Well, if you're looking for the dissident experts who aren't towing the company line, you need to dig deeper because they are generally being ignored or outright being censored even though they actually have the facts and the science on their side. Dr. Dan Erickson said it best in that video, the only way a harmful infectious virus stops is it burns itself out or by herd immunity. Some face covering or some arbitrary social distancing isn't going to stop something as small as a virus. We will all be exposed to COVID-19 sometime like we've all been exposed to the many other flu virus's.

And if you don't trust statistics why direct us to a video that relies on them? Nobody but straw men disputes that most will be exposed to and a good percentage infected by the virus. Masks and social distancing simply slow the process so that the numbers remain smaller until a vaccine is available so that our hospital system in hard hit areas can handle those who require hospitalization. This strategy was not just invented by Bill Gates or George Soros or Al Gore or whoever. In 1918 it was the difference between St Louis and Philadelphia , between tragedy and a manageable outbreak www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/history-of-how-st-louis-vs-philadelphia-treated-1918-flu-pandemic-2020-4%3famp. As to the virus be so small nugget I'm without words. Well I have some but as Tom says I don't want to poof quite yet . Here's two: particle size. Yeah good thing that global warming hoax amounted to nothing...

As to the virus be so small nugget I'm without words. Well I have some but as Tom says I don't want to poof quite yet . Here's two: particle size. Yeah good thing that global warming hoax amounted to nothing... Yes, "flattening the curve" is the theory that if you can reduce the spread of the disease, you can prevent the medical system from being overwhelmed all at once. It has nothing to do with stopping the virus altogether. Whatever the case, the virus will mutate as they always do and burn itself out or natural herd immunity kicks in. I'm sure the conventional schoolbook history will be written that all the unprecedented draconian dictates issued by governments in 2020 saved the rubes from sure death on an apocalyptical scale. Of course they'll ignore all those countries and localities that didn't take an active part in ruining their economies and peoples lives and still survived the pandemic in even better shape than those that did. I'm fascinated by these comparisons between this current virus and the so-called Spanish Flu of 1918 as if you can draw a direct comparison of the economic, social and medical conditions of over 100 years ago to today. What is know about the Spanish Flu is that is was nothing special itself, not a superbug, but looks like a strain of a pathogenic virus that still exists today and it led to death in the same way to those most susceptible. It's not the flu virus that kills you, it's an overreaction of the immune system in some people to the virus that's called a “cytokine storm.” that opens the door for a common respiratory bacterial infection that causes Pneumonia in those in a weakened state. In 1918, antibiotics had not been discovered yet to deal with pathogenic bacteria they knew little about, so the high rate of death due to Pneumonia back then was attributed to that. The wonder drug of the day was aspirin which was prescribed back then for the flu in what today would be called toxic doses. Aspirin is good for pain relief but overdosed supresses the immune system. Then you had that man-made disaster going on in 1918 call World War I, which spread the virus far and wide in the worse conditions imaginable. Ya, those primitives didn't know much, and they did a lot of wrong things, but they did what they could as precautions anyway, they quarantined the sick, the were told to wear masks in some cases especially medical personnel and others most likely to encounter those infected, and to stay out of large crowds. In some ways they were a lot smarter than many modern day pols, they recommended getting plenty of fresh air and sunshine, they didn't demand quarantining the healthy by sheltering in place, shutting down large swaths of the economy, not going to work unless you were deemed "essential", or closing parks and beaches.

You mean the ones that took contact tracing and testing seriously instead of Fox Newsing Nothing to See Here for 2 months?. Yes I would agree all this shutdown was only necessary because of the incompetent response in January-February. And again, nooooobody makes claims that any social actions we take stop the virus, just slows its transmission. It's the high degree of contagion and spread by asymptomatic folks that make comparisons more complicated than Covid-19 truthers are making out. And yes places with superior public health systems and more favorable demographics like Sweden (look at rates of diabetes and obesity) can expect better outcomes with less draconian measures taken, though the virus fat lady has not yet sung there or anywhere else.

Is that a partisan narrative now, all this shutdown was only necessary because of the incompetent response to not take seriously contact tracing and testing in January-February? Sounds more like a weak excuse. On another side of the spectrum they say it was the incompetent bureaucracies of the WHO, CDC and FDA that were at fault. I think that is closer to the truth because I've never seen a competent government and the bigger they are, the more incompetent they are. So I'm never surprised when there's accusations of regime incompetence. You can point your finger at whoever you like, I do know one thing that is indisputable as a result of all these shutdowns in the USA, we got the biggest bipartisan heist in history. I do agree that the "virus fat lady has not yet sung", but the economic fat lady has certainly not sung yet either.

I try to live by my dads words. Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear. When researching the truth lays someplace in between.
I do highly recommend doing your own research from many sources. As we know EVERYBODY I mean EVERYBODY has their own biases and beliefs. This is what makes America the best country on earth. We are free to believe and express our beliefs and opinions.
Now for a bit of my own bias. The freedom of speech is under extreme attack right now so is 2A ( that is another subject) You must not silence those whom you disagree with. It is the hardest thing to look in a mirror and really confront what you hold true. The person on the other extreme holds these same beliefs.
Please respect others beliefs. You do not have to agree. Silencing others because you do not agree is not the answer. Think how you will feel when the shoe is on the other foot.
Life is really simple Good thoughts Good words Good deeds

Trump didn't "close all travel from China". The limitation was on non-US citizens other than the immediate family of U.S. citizens and permanent residents. For the record. As was noted at a House subcommittee hearing re the virus on February 5... "today, 30 planes will land in Los Angeles that either originated in Beijing or came here on one-stops, 30 in San Francisco, 25 in New York City. Okay? So, unless we think that the color of the passport someone carries is a meaningful public health restriction, we have not placed a meaningful public health restriction.” Limited travel restriction is not a substitute for testing and contact tracing. abcnews.go.com/Health/trust-testing-tracing-south-korea-succeeded-us-stumbled/story?id=70433504And yes Democrats can be idiots but response to the virus is a Federal responsibility not Bill Deblasio's.
