Short rant response: I put assertions of massive overstatement of Covid-19 deaths in the same junk basket as those of voter fraud (millions of illegals voting because fill in the blank), both being driven by ideology rather than data. If hospitals get reimbursed 3500 then Covid-19 deaths must be vastly overstated overlooks not only that there are people who do follow rules, anecdotal reports notwithstanding, but also the indisputable increase in excess deaths far above the number of Covid-19 attributed numbers. About that , in contrast, we have hard data. m.dailykos.com/stories/2020/5/22/1947038/-New-analysis-of-county-level-data-suggests-COVID-19-deaths-massively-underreportedNot the most serious discrepancy but here's a discussion of Florida: www.tampabay.com/news/health/2020/05/20/coronavirus-may-have-caused-hundreds-of-additional-deaths-in-florida/More general but month old data What Is the Real Coronavirus Death Toll in Each State? nyti.ms/3foi8jaHas there been a surge in suicides reflected in the excess deaths data? I don't know how many. What I do know is that the first "surge" i looked into was that reported in multiple places as taking place in Benton county Washington. Know what the surge was ? Suicides went from 3 per month in January-February to 4 per month in March-April (with no evidence of a shutdown tie-in). I'm not discounting the real health toll that extended lockdown would create, but I haven't seen anything to suggests it's a bigger part of the unusual excess death numbers than unreported Covid-19 deaths to date. Might it become so as Covid-19 cases decline. Sure, I don't discount that prospect. I'm doing fine thanks. Hope to get an antibodies test soon which Quest is offering locally so I can visit with Tom without worrying about coughing on him.

But you don't put what comes out of the DalyKos or The Surgo Foundation in that same junk basket of ideological data drivers? I can't imagine anything coming from either of those two for sure that isn't purely spun for ideological reasons, especially when you look at the sketchy people and organizations they are associated with. I'm not particularly interested in data and statistics per se no matter who is spinning them and claiming they are indisputable. I'm not that trusting or gullible of a person. I first have to look at things through the indisputable laws of nature and economics like "What the government subsidizes, you get more of". So if the government subsidizes reporting COVID-19 deaths, you'll get more COVID-19 deaths reported. If anyone can deny that as the truth then they must also deny there is a law of gravity. My ultimate law is "If someone desires power over you to control you and pick your pocket they are never to be trusted—EVER!" Let us know how that antibody test works at Quest, I have to go there for blood work this summer myself.

Since you reject data of all kinds, judge on source rather than content and reasoning, and offer nothing in substance, I couldn't care less what you believe friend you're obviously fully committed to a position of what looks like ignorance rather than a lack of gullibility to me. I'll certainly post results.

It’s funny how people can take the same numbers and make them say what they want them too.
