Due to that storm that was rolling around last week it was cold here in the desert. One day it only got up to 55F. Seems to be back to normal now. Typical desert winter; cold nights (high 40s) and warm days (mid 70s). You put the heat on in your car going to work and wear a warm jacket. By 9:30 or 10 you can walk around outside without the jacket.

Only got a little snow last week but they salt the roads hard around here for anything. My riding season's officially over once they start putting down the salt, don't mind some cold weather but salt will tear a nice motorcycle up.Last couple of years snow ended early and rain cleared the roads off.I was able to start riding in mid March.Only two and a half months to go if that holds true again, but I'm not counting on it.

That's something I don't miss; salt on the roads. As I was growing up most cars in the New England area would have extensive body rot around the rocker panels and wheel wells from the moisture and salt. Seems the drive train would outlive the bodies. It's probably not so big a problem now due to modern materials and building methods but it sure was back then.

Mid-40's here. Lovely afternoon by the ocean. The Sea Lions are all over the water out here this winter - taxes must be too high in California!

Nothing has changed in New England. In Maine salt is exclusively used on I 95 and a mixture of salt and dirt/sand/rocks for town roads. Pure salt sure does make for a very white highway when the water evaporates. You better have plenty of windshield washer too.
In the 20's/30's today. Plowed the drifted snow after the storm; 50 mile per hour winds so it was packed pretty good. No idea how much snow we got, but it wasn't significant, maybe 6" but impossible to tell. It plowed some hard due to the packing though.
A lesser storm coming in for Sunday supposedly. I eagerly anticipate our weather resetting. Generally that happens every 2 weeks, statistically.

Dreary day. Cold and wet, but not cold enough for snow. Just down right nasty. Ready to be home!

With storms passing around and through the area we've had a colder week than normal. Can't wait till the highs gets back to the 70s.
