Recently gaw9576, a very talented TOST member and good friend, made me an Enders handle from a pen blank for one of my Enders. The result below is the most beautiful Speed Shaver I have ever seen. My pictures won’t/don’t do it justice, but I did try to capture its beauty to share with you all. The depth of the emerald green and the shimmer of the gold as you turn the handle isn't able to be captured with still photography, but it is truly amazing. And aside from the classic Enders contour, you can also see the photo #4 (and in photo #1, if you look closely) the ridging detail he put in as well. I have not had a chance to shave with it yet -- I’m having some technical difficulties using a modern blade at the moment, and while I think I've solved them, I'll know for sure when I have my first shave either tonight or tomorrow....I will definitely post-up my shave results when I do. My thanks to gaw9576 for putting in the time to hand shape, sand and polish this work of art -- just an outstanding job! I’ll post some pics of this Enders next to some of my other Speed Shavers for comparison sake. Stay tuned!

Well it's official, this beauty shaves every bit as well as she looks!!! I used a Chinese Schick nestled in a vintage Enders blade. gaw9576 was kind enough to send me a couple of blade adapters. Unfortunately I broke one prior to realizing that I needed to "adjust" the Schick (and Proline) blades a bit. Both blades were too wide to fit cleanly in the Enders, so I used a dremel to grind off a millimeter on each end of the blade, and now both blades fit in razor like a dream. Not every Enders has that issue, but 3 out of 4 of mine have. But enough about blade correction, let's discuss how this razor shaves. It is a very mild shaver (both in comfort and efficiency), but while it's no "chainsaw" in terms of efficiency, it still gave me a very nice DFS in 3 passes. There was very little blade feel and not a hint of irritation or blood. I was also able to whip this thing around my face with abandon. I could move the blade further forward with another adapter to get a more "aggressive" shave, but I'm quite happy to have a razor where I can pick it up and easily use it to get an exceptionally smooth shave, both in performance and results. One more thank you to gaw9576!!!
