Soap: Trumpers Rose Soap & Supermax Cream + Glycerine
I am very intrigued by this. Can you explain what you are up to here?
This is Uberlather or Ultralather, It is just a combination of a hard soap a shaving cream and about half a dozen drops of glycerine, it is mixed up in a scuttle or bowl or in my case a cappucino cup. It seems to produce a real silky slippery lather that provides superb glide and leaves the skin feeling really moist. I had real doubts about it but it certainly works, but it is a bit more time consuming if you are normally a face latherer. Here are a couple of you tube vids explaining it. I particularly like the second one, the man's command of English is just wonderful. IMHO the Danes together with the Norwegians are probably as a nation the best educated and nicest people in Europe. Have a go with it and see what you think, I am retired so have time to play around and experiment, perhaps you could try it at the weekend. Regards Dick.

Razor: Ever Ready 1914 Blade: GEM Stainless Brush: Semogue 1305 Lather: Arko Stick
Post: Alum, Lucido, Clarins AS Soother
Result: Great shave! Mostly BBS. The only problem was that the blade slid back from the stops and needed to be adjusted mid-shave. Do any of you ER 1914 users have the same problem?

Wednesday 12th September 2012 Prep: Shower & Face scrub with Pears soap Razor: Schick Type I Blade: Personna Stainless Coated Brush Vie Long 13061M Horse Soap: Trumpers Coconut Soap and Erasmic Cream + Glycerine Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm
Fifth shave with this injector blade and it still seems fine with further life in it; as SE blades are quite a bit more expensive than DE's I have abandoned my DE policy of binning all blades after the third shave.
Tried a facial scrub with the horse brush and Pears soap as a pre-shave, pretty sure it didn't make a bit of difference but as the Uberlather is so slippery I can't imagine why I thought it might!
Regards Dick

Thursday 13th September 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: Schick Type I Blade: Personna Stainless Coated (6th shave) Brush: Lijun/Burma Shave Boar Soap: Cella Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm
First ever use of Cella, delivered to me yesterday as part of a group buy as it comes in 1kilo 'bricks', first impressions are all good. I was surprised just how soft it is, more like an extra heavy duty cream than a soap. I love the Marzipan smell. It has to be one of the easiest soaps I have used to lather; I face lathered with It and it seemed to provide super glide and the lather 'stood up well'.
Really nice soap
Regards Dick.
