Friday 28th September 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: PAL Injectomatic Blade: Personna Stainless Coated Cream: T.O.B.S. Sandlewood Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm
My first shave with a PAL injector and a very nice shave it was too, I think this little razor has just a little more 'bite' than my only Schick razor (type I) the quirky little flat handle is a bit strange but only because it is different. I did try with one of the carbon blades that came with the razor and this was entirely in keeping with all my other experiences with vintage carbon blades ie bad!
This razor was posted from a suburb/district of New York on the 22nd Sept and was delivered to me in England at noon on 27th Sept, that has to be a record.
Regards Dick.

Gem FW Gem SS/PFTE Blade (13) Turkish Horsehair #6 Brush Vintage Colgate Soap Peraja Lemon Cologne
I had so much luck lathering with the #6 brush that I tried it with on the vintage soap I got from Andy (Mr Guy) quite some time back. True to form, it lathered like crazy. I'm still not much of a soap guy (apart from shave sticks) but the results were good enough that I think I'll try it sometime soon with some modern Williams that I've had lying around .

Sunday 30th September 2012 Razor: Ever Ready 1914 Little Lather Catcher Blade: GEM Stainless Coated Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed Cream: T.O.B.S. Mr Taylors Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm
My first shave with a 1914 and it was one of my very best shaves ever, it arrived yesterday from Florida (posted on 23rd Sept.) My first impression was, "that handle is too short to use", in fact it is not and in practice works well and in any event it is a very different and coarser thread rate to any of my 1912's so I have nothing to change it with anyway.
A really loud and easy razor to shave with, it feels gentle but seems super efficient at cutting whiskers. I could get to 'love' this razor.
Regards Dick.

New blade but not a terribly great shave. I think I tried to rush it a bit too much. I'm certain tomorrow will be much better.
