HT, do they all have similar blade geometry? Ie, do they shave the same?

Just checked mine. It is Gem Cutlery and no bevel.

That would be my guess. I don't know what to think... What I've got: * I've got a Gem Safety Razor Corp Damaskeene,it has the bevel and the slightly different round knurled handle they were known to have. * A GEM Cutlery Damaskeene no bevel * Three GEM Cutlery Damaskeenes with definite bevels and original style handles-I can get some pics up of 'em if y'all want.... A guess ? Parts is parts..... if they had more base plates (is that term correct?) laying around the factory near the time of transition than blade covers, then maybe they threw the new style beveled blade covers on the remaining GEM Cutlery parts....

I can't tell any difference between them. HT, do they all have similar blade geometry? Ie, do they shave the same?

Is the 1912 Damaskeene generally a more agressive razor than the Gem or Star 1912? In my case it seems to be quite a bit more aggressive. not sure if its me or the razor

I think the Dammy is more on the aggressive side. I know some do not though. Well see what is said by the gang.

Dammy for me is more aggressive and much better shave quality over all . The curved top plate makes a big difference I feel.

What I've noticed about razors with curved top plates (ER 1914 & ER Streamline included) is that they seem to provide a smooth linear platform for subtle changes in shaving angle and let's me get the most out of my technique.

That right there was a lot of big fancy words. Overcafeinated lol I think I meant to say that for me,curved top plate's feel like a dial I can turn in incrments to increase or decrease aggression/efficiency.Flat top plates feel more like on/off switches in comparison.
