Thanks Alan, I think that I am pretty much done acquiring shaving stuff except for replacing items that I run out of.
When I started out a few years ago as I got back to traditional wet shaving I was buying stuff like creams and soaps all the time. Most of it though was artisan products. For the most part though I found those to be very good but sometimes inconsistent in performance from one tub or puck to another. The only creams that I bought during that time period that had consistent performance were from C&E.
Then a couple years ago I bought my first of the 3 T's creams, T&H 1805 and TOBS St James Collection. I have not purchased any artisan items in over a year and pretty much have them all used up so I am replacing them with more of the 3T items as you can see by the list and also a "top" shelf, at least according to price brand in the Penhaligon's soap and cream.
Getting to the point in my life that I don't want to keep experimenting, instead just sit back, get the really good stuff and enjoy my shaving experience from day to day.

Yes, I'm pretty much of the same mindset. Looking for a soap that I really like to use pretty much every day. Then maybe have one nice cream to use on Sundays. Back to basics I guess.

Possum and Alan,
I'm there with you brothers. Two years ago when I got started, man, I bought tons of stuff. My go to soaps now are simply VDH and Proraso. I usually "uber" them up a bit with TOBS Jermyn St. cream or Proraso cream. Then either a SE or straight, then a nice quality AS like Krampert's. Sometimes Pinaud Clubman or Shulton Old Spice. If I never use anything else, I'll be happy.
