If you're not participating in this week's theme, we'd still like to hear about your daily shave experiences.

Greetings
Monday 7th January 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: Valet Autostrop Blade: Feather SE Brush Semogue 620 Boar Soap: Arko pressed into a container Aftershave: Adidas Balm
Two great and one good shave from the Feather SE blade, but that's it, the blade is finished. Half the lifespan of a GEM blade and over twice the price!
I wanted to shave with a carbon blade for the themed week but they are just not sold in the UK. I have some NOS carbon blued ASR injector blades, if I pluck up enough courage I might 'shave' with one of them tomorrow. I also have some NOS double edged Micromatic blades which I think are carbon and some old GEM blades but when I have tried these before I found them just dire; completely unusable!
Regards Dick.

08 January 2013Razor: Cobra Classic + Feather Professional (8) Brush: Wet Shaving Products -- Monarch HMW Soap: Martin de Candre - Savon à raserAS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask
Another great shave from the Cobra and MdC. A couple of my other razors though are screaming for some attention. I think I will oblige them and get some facetime to both the OCMM and Streamline. Cobra... take a well earned rest, but be ready to be called upon at any instant.

Tuesday 1/8
Razor: GEM Featherweight Blade: GEM Stainless (1) Brush: Semogue 1305 boar Lather: Arko shave stick Post: Alum, Krampert's Finest Bay Rum, Unrefined Shea Butter
Results: Very nice shave. DFS+ and very comfortable. I'm surprised at how much I like the featherweight... I normally like heavy and/or aggressive razors and this is neither, but still gets it right!

09 January 2013Razor: GEM OCMM + Pella PTFE (1) Brush: E7 Scarlett + WSP HMW 23/50 Soap: Martin de Candre - Savon À Raser AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask
The OCMM delivered today. It was almost like she was a bit jealous of all the facetime the Cobra has been receiving lately and she wanted to make her case for more attention. Perfectly smooth and efficient shave. The razor actually felt quite nimble and agile in my hand after getting used to the width of the Cobra's head. Another superb lather from MdC, I just don't see myself using much else but I'm sure I will... eventually.

Wednesday 1/9
Razor: Schick Injector E2 Blade: Personna Brush: TGN synthetic knot in no-name handle Lather: Arko Shave stick Post: STYPTIC!, Alum, Krampert's Finest Bay Rum, Unrefined Shea Butter
Results: Ouch and Wow once again! I continue my love/hate relationship with my E model injector. Other than a few drops of blood caused by one careless moment, the shave was spectacular. It's tempting to put pressure on such a light razor, and you get away with it on the G and later injectors, but my "E" makes me pay...

While the E & G are likely the same head I get very different results from them.

Yes, Marc the Cobra certainly is the epitome for efficiency & simplicity. That said, I had a sublime shave with the OCMM this morning. I look forward to the next week - two using this razor again. Then I guess I'll suffer through with a week - two of some Streamline shaves. Man, how do the cartridge lemmings keep going over the cliff when there is such great stuff out there.
