I recently found a nice set with the metal handle and strop attachment. The handles are the exact same size, but I do prefer the wooden one. Just makes the whole thing nicer for some reason.

The handles have a different pattern, just slightly. I'll see if I have a pic, or I'll get a new one up shortly.

Here you go. For some reason my photo skills are lacking tonight, but I think you can see the differences. First the fronts, The backs, And a detail close up of the front, The one that has the grip all the way around also has a slightly thicker "foot". There are a couple of other VERY minor differences that could possibly be credited to manufacturing tolerances.
