Monday 4th February 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Schick Injector G8 Blade: Personna Stainless Coated Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Soap: Wilkinson Sword Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Simple Aftershave Balm
Another super shave with the G8. My first use of this Simple Balm and I am impressed. It cost £1.99 at Savers (a British cut price shop for cosmetics and household items) for a 100 ml tube. Bargain!
Regards Dick.

What a wonderful idea for a SOTD thread stljeff!!! I personally prefer boar brushes and use one probably 8 of 10 shaves. Looking forward to seeing the tools folks draw out!

Wednesday 6th February 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM Micromatic OC Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon Brush: Semogue OC Boar Soap: Tabac Aftershave: RSC Cream
A very nice shave in terms of closeness but my face feels just a tiny bit tender which I put down to the lack of coating on these carbon blades, or perhaps me being so used to a PTFE coated SE blade. I suspect these blades require a more delicate touch!
Regards Dick.

Wednesday 2/6 Razor: Schick Injector G6 Blade: Personna Brush: Semogue 1305 boar Lather: Arko shave stick Post: Alum, Lucido, Unrefined Shea Butter Results: Very nice, Mostly BBS shave. I love the G injectors for great, safe shaves. The agility comes in handy when avoiding healing cuts or irritated areas.

Good thread
My Van Der Hagen Boar is my go to brush, cost me 9 dollars,I beat the hell out of it,it's tough as nails.
II recently had a new red and white BurmaShave boar,it shed so bad for so long I finally trashed it.Dick has one of those BurmaShaves that's lasted him for years...
Shaved with my I1 today, needed a heavier hand than an I2 shave...

Greetings Thursday 7th February 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip (Flying wing) Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon Brush: Vulfix 406 Boar Soap: Lea Stick grated into a container Aftershave: RSC Balm My third shave with the same GEM carbon blade and after yesterdays tender face (which got worse during the day until I applied some Nivea cream) I thought I would try it in a milder razor, hence the Flying Wing. A better result, and certainly close enough, I used a delicate touch, but still there is just a tiny bit of stinging/tenderness. These blades are IMHO certainly very different, they have a different 'face feel' in use to what I am accustomed to and I wonder if I should persevere when I am getting a less comfortable shave and they are near on impossible to obtain here in the UK and the Stainless PTFE coated GEM's are readily available. Regards Dick.

I've been using a boar brush for most of the week, but I can't post my shaves.

Greetings Friday 8th February 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Schick Injector G8 Blade: Personna Stainless Coated Brush: Semogue 620 boar Soap: Tweex pressed into a container Aftershave; Floid Balm A wonderful shave, this G type Schick is I think my favourite injector. Enough aggression to cut really well but super easy to shave with and it does not 'bite'. A drunken man wearing boxing gloves and smoking dope could get a good shave out of this razor! Regards Dick

My first real shave in a week...had to fly to Seattle with carry on luggage only. Used a Bic Sensitive SE disposable razor and a cheap Omega boar brush with KMF all week. Today I used a Bullet Tip MM (been a while since I used an MM. Gem SS/PTFE blade Cheap drug store boar brush that I suspect is made by Vulfix Cella soap Witch Hazel AOS After Shave Gel Clubman talc Good shave, nice to use a razor with some weight behind it. The boar brush is still breaking in, shed a few hairs and still has a bit of odor to it Best shave I have had all week though
