I love collecting vintage Avon decanters, they're fairly abundant and usually not priced real high. Here's the latest four I found yesterday at a little antique store, $2 each and they are 100% full. From L-R 1902 Haynes Apperson with Blend 7 AS, DE Super Shaver with Sure Winner Bracing AS, Packard with Leather Cologne and a Cadillac with Excalibur AS. This is the second DE decanter I have found, the other was boxed.

Very nice indeed. Have you ever tried the aftershaves in them? Do they last that long?

Oh yeah, I use Avon a lot, I have several gallons of the stuff! Most of it from thrift stores like Goodwill and the Salvation Army. Their Spicy is a dead ringer for Old Spice. Most of the AS's last for at least a couple of hours, some of the colognes for several hours.

Well, I don't know since I can't compare them to a modern version. I've never had one that smelled off, and only one that I don't care for which is Oland.

Very cool. Adds some class to the place huh? Definitely brightens it up some. Here's a bookcase across from my desk.

But why keep the stuff at the office? Sounds like you really have a "thing" for shaving equipment. The only things missing are some soap and creams and blades of all types!
By the way, nice display!

Thanks, but I've got a ton of stuff at home as well, some stored in boxes because of lack of room to put anymore out! There is a Williams menthol and a Colgate Cup soap in there somewhere, but no blades. But why keep the stuff at the office? Sounds like you really have a "thing" for shaving equipment. I've also got a decent size collection of bottles here and there around the house. My GF can't stands them! LOL As far as using them post shave, the only one I really like is Everest , great juice.

The newer aftershave scents aren't as good as some of the Vintage like, Tai Winds (my favorite), Wild Country or Cordovan.
