Greetings Saturday 1st June 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM 1912 Damaskeene OC Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon Brush: Burma Shave Boar Soap: Derby Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Astal cream (light) My very first shave with this new to me razor. I've been after an open comb Dammy for a very long time. It shaves exactly as I've read it would and expected; just wonderfully; easy to use, a bit of bite but not silly aggressive. After just one shave I am very impressed. This one is not a perfect specimen but it is a perfect shaver! Regards Dick.

Saturday 1st June 2013 Prep: Hot Whisker Rinse-app 2 min's. Razor: ER 1912 Blade: GEM SS d3 Brush: Omega Baby Pro-10029 Soap Stick: Arko Aftershave: Old Spice Today was just a wonderful shave....Today I'm reminded of why I rate the 1912 just a tad above the OCMM....The MM gives me the closest first pass imaginable...aswell as a comfortable 2nd pass...But after that, my skin doesn't really want anymore action... But with the 1912, the 1st pass is just as or damn near as close...and I can do a 2nd pass followed by some ATG buffing here and there if I so desire and still enjoy every minute... Also, there is the "This time of year" factor...Sometimes...even with my injector or DE Adjustable, if I shave as close as I like to....later if I'm in the heat and experience any intensive sweating my face will burn from the sweat....But for some reason I don't notice it with this razor....Thats a BIG plus right there... Have great shaves and a great weekend everybody !! Read more: theoriginalsafetytoo.com/thread/815/se-injector-sotd-27-13?page=2#ixzz2UyQPYQZZ

01 June 2013Pre: Tepid shower w/ MdC Fougère bath bar Razor: EverReady Streamline + Pella PTFE (6) Brush: Morris & Forndran Butterscotch L7 Blonde Badger 24/50 Soap: Martin de Candre - Fougère (17) AS: Krampert's Finest Menthol LE - 80 Below Well good morning prickly scritch. It's been awhile since we've hung out. This Blonde Badger knot certainly has some prickle & scritch to it. The knot itself isn't loaded with backbone as it splays nicely. However, if it had twice as many all black inclusions & less splay, then I'd be pretty sure that this hair is very similar to the Semogue 2-band badger hair. Fortunately I was shaving 2 days of growth so it wasn't too rough for me out of the gate. I am hoping that the tips soften a good bit more though. I'm so used to good backbone & zero prickle from my WSP knots that I'm not sure that I'll want to use this one often if it stays this prickly. The handle felt great in hand with superb balance and weight. I love the look of it & I certainly hope that I can love the knot as well as I use it a bit more. I see quite a few more test lathers in its near future.

02 June 2013Razor: EverReady Streamline + Pella PTFE (7) Brush: Morris & Forndran Butterscotch L7 Blonde Badger Soap: Martin de Candre -- Signature (83) AS: Krampert's Finest menthol 2nd use this morning of the M&F Blonde after quite a few test lathers last night. Unfortunately I'm not noticing any decrease in the prickliness & scritch which means that this lovely brush may not be staying here for long. The Blonde Badger hair feels very similar to the Semogue 2-band to me which is another brush that didn't stay for long.

Gem OCMM CVS CS Blade (6) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Pereja Lemon Cologne
Sunday, 2 June
Gem Contour CVS CS Blade (1) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Family Dollar (Vi-Jon) Spice AS
There was definite tugging with the old blade on Saturday and the Contour today was surprisingly aggressive with the new blade. Both were decent enough shaves though.
