What are the differences, if any, between the two?

I have heard some say the finish was better on the British models. I do not see any difference on mine though.

Some of the UK models have an aluminum handle that I do not believe was available in the US

I don't know if there is any truth to this as I don't have any experience other than with a USA Ever Ready 1912....but I have been told that the ER's ;U.S.and Brit; aswell as the Gem Jr's are both a tad more aggressive feeling, than the curved top 1912's......Is there any truth to this??? I have a Damaskeene on the way...I'll report when I can compare...I know my ER 1912 has the beveled edge and flat top and is close to my OCMM for aggression and gives a very sweet smooth shave aswell....

From the ones that I've owned, the handles on the UK version are more pronounced on the ridges.

From the ones that I've owned, the handles on the UK version are more pronounced on the ridges. I'd agree there. I just got an English Ever Ready 1912 and the edges of the handle are notably sharp.
