Good looking set for sure. That handle looks like it should be slippery but I haven't found that to be the case.

Thanks Brian... getting lucky on the price made it sweet all the way around. Good looking set for sure. That handle looks like it should be slippery but I haven't found that to be the case. Used it this morning, had a blast with it.Different feel for sure than the original knurled handle, still great in it's own way....It had been a while since my last '14 shave. The '14 's never dissapoint.

Great looking '14 sleddog.... Seems it's much harder to find them with the head it that sort of condition, handles seem to be hit or miss.
That case is real nice, not sure if my knurled '14 has a case or not,I think it probably does.I keep all my razors in fishing lure compartments and have put my cases away for now.

that is a lovely case and razor sleddog. The stropper - I haven't seen one quite like that - does it thread onto the handle or?? Was it just sitting in the case or does it seem to have a spot?

The stropper was in the case when I got it but there isnt really a designated spot for it...fits perfect across the case and under the handle so that where I keep it and yes it screws onto the handle..I have no idea if it belongs to this '14 set or not..nice little bonus though

That is really great.
I am pretty sure I would remember such a stropper if I had seen one - but I don't think I have. I checked out a few adverts and Waits and didn't spot one. Perhaps one of the collector sites might have one - I gotta go peek!
It looks like it would be a nice solid handle for stropping. Clearly for the spineback blade types as for this razor kit. It fits nicely across the box too. I like it!!!
Real nice catch all around!

Love that set with the stopper. Never seen one either. I bet there are a lot of things that I have not seen though. I love things like that though. ;D

I have found one reference to this stropper - and the comment regards this device being inserted into the empty part of a mar24/1914 patent razor. This is the only reference I could find so far. I must say though, I have always wondered about the hollow handles in the standard 1914 design. But, again, no references previous to such a device in the 1914 handle.

I want to store my razors in a bit more organized fashion and the fishing lure boxes sounds like a good idea.

I want to store my razors in a bit more organized fashion and the fishing lure boxes sounds like a good idea. Regular tackle boxes for fishing lures usually have slots that are too narrow to accomodate razors, this type of box is a bit more versatile,it has larger slots and holds several razors.Fishermen usually throw these trays in a duffle bag, that's what I do. The little slips of paper under the razors are a temporary way to identify razors and match the cased ones with the corresponding case. Holds everything safely,I think they're about 5 dollars or so at Bass Pro or Walmart

That's exactly what I use for my razors and "The Boneyard" too.
$4 at K-Mart.
