Stellar find. I always wished some of our "vintage" shaving articles could talk. I can only imagine the stories this old mug could tell. Thanks for sharing.

CB, your mug reminds me a bit of glass milk mugs (Old Spice). I like the fact that it doesn't have a handle it gives the mug a unique distinct look. After your post I checked out some Corning mugs. Yes, these mugs were made in WWII and also in the Korean war. The stamp on bottom of the mug is Corning glassblower logo. The one I found lists the height as 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". Great find the mug will definitely make a great shaving mug!

thanks all. It is a great soap mug. Keeps the soap all warm and cozyandmaybe one of the guys from Doolittles group had coffee in itor a sub. Yeah ,I wish these things could talk.
