Just won this on the bay pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=350948703751Guess it's another one that doesn't fit into the standard typology. It looks like a Type L but is only marked "Eversharp" on the head and "Patent M26" on the underside. Of course I'll post more pics when it arrives, but has anyone else seen one like this before or know about its origins? Injector fever!!

Actually, I believe that is an L type, not an N. My guess is that for some reason they decided to use the actual company name, Eversharp, in that particular run for some reason.

Thank you - I've amended my post. There's nothing in the typology that fits this though is there? I've not found any photos of anything similar either. Maybe it's another Canadian... Injector fever!!

Great Shaver, unbelievable price...You'll probably get better shaves than from many of those Stainless DE razors costing over 20x's as much...

Somebody on another forum has come up with the info that Schick marketed these "Eversharp" branded models in the early 70s as an upmarket rebranding to coincide with the release of their high end "convex edge" DE blades. Interesting...

Yep. Nice to see you again. I think so also. I think they were trying to move away from the Schick name and that ole' bird was the break. Regal branding like Gillette-Aristocrat, Milord, Regent, . It was a time when men were being marketed as king of their home, affluence spreading. But to me it was like saying ketchup(catsup) what brand do you see--da big 57. Injector--Schick. Eversharp did make some beautiful fountain pens though. Then they went to the Krona-crown. Swedish steel! Hot dang--also a time when middle class homes were being furnished in the new 'Scandi" look that hit in the mid '50s.And the steel was being lauded by the knife community as the be all and end all in blade making. I still have an old EKA knife and straight. So it would be cool to collect like model numbers with the different logos or the different script used because that's as detailed as it gets or so it seems to me .Or were they merely giving the bird to the king of shaves!?

I forgot about this J1 I got awhile back at a flea market, I'm not even sure if I've ever used it or not. It's a little unusual in that it's marked SCHICK SAFETY RAZOR, I don't believe I've seen any others with this particular wording that I can recall.

It's a little unusual in that it's marked SCHICK SAFETY RAZOR, I don't believe I've seen any others with this particular wording that I can recall. Greetings Tom It would appear that mine is weird too, I have just checked my I1 and that has exactly the same head (frame) with the same markings. I thought it was the norm but I only have the one specimen of each so I would! I know it was long after the Eversharp take over when these razors were produced but I am sure I have read that they were reluctant to 'bin' the Schick trademark for fear of loosing sales and introduced the Eversharp logo a little at a time by stealth. As the I1 and the J1 share the same head (Frame) perhaps this might go some way to explain it. ie they already had the heads so they simply fitted the new shaped J handle! Regards Dick.
