Hi guys, it is the first time i try to use everready but i wasnt sure about the proper blade loading so i used clogpruf again. Is the gem blade compatible with this razor? When i load it the cap wont close properly. Or is it right?

The blade retaining clip has slipped inside the razor.
See that hold in the cap? See that tab now inside the cap?
Best flip the cap off with a thin screwdriver, re-settle the cap just ready to drop back onto its pins and push the tab up into the gap. Drop the cap on and you're done. The tab should stick through the gap.

Yea Paul...atta boy! Now unnamed, you have to report back on how the Maiden Voyage goes tomorrow.....A stroke by stroke account would be nice...;D Just kidding, but please let us know how it goes.....Hoosier Trooper gave me an EverReady 1912 that I love dearly...So I'm thinking and hoping you're in for a little slice of heaven tomorrow....

Good work Paul - you are definitely the razor mechanic round here. Didn't you reassemble a Wilkinson Empire once?
And the 1912 is definitive, iconic and great. As has been observed, every one seems to shave differently, from competent and workmanlike to subtle and sublime. Enjoy!

birdlivesFirst shave with ER1912. It was fantastic. Relatively milder than cpruf and gave a nice shave. I can nominate it to be my only razor
