Yes CB, I'm with you on this one! You put it very well when you say "Like a key to a time machine." This is how I feel with some of the Art Deco razors in my collection. I used my 1943 Leng brush last night which was British Government issue to RAF bomber crews, and I know how much you appreciate that! When I use one of those SEs it's always magic. I shaved with the Darwin last night and when I step out of the house today I'm going to feel like I'm in "The Big Sleep."
And I'm in awe of the Schick F...

Theres no doubt about it....These functional works of art are a link to the past...and there is an element of romance thats undeniable...I remember a few years ago some of the cats on a couple shaving boards were making cracks about injectors being the cartridge shavers of TWS, and being too easy, etc, etc..And I became very defensive about it....I know my Dad was issued a black handle E type in the Navy and was shaving with it every day aboard his Distroyer during WWII....and thats alot of real deal right there! Now it seems more and more men are rediscovering the charm, romance and "time machine" qualities of these wonderful shavers....
Very well put my man! Thanks for the photos.....and I know you have a black handle E aswell....ha,ha....I hope to have that incommom with you one day in the not too distant future....};^)

F-3 ... what has that woman got in her hand? A fake snake that she used to startle people in her night club act.It was a much simpler time.

Now we have bands that don't have one musician in them...all DJs and computer programs...This chick is probably dancing, singing and has a back up band, and a fake snake....She sure knows how to ride a horse...Looks like Barbara here actually has prepared herself to actually DO something....Maybe now is the 'simple time'...ha,ha...

A great story, snakes, ladies, horses and a Schick F ... this is what makes TOST good! Where else can you get all of this on a shaving forum? The way you set up the Schick F ad as the background is a nice touch. I also like how you use schematics for background scenery. I'd like to borrow your Schick F for a few years if that's possible.
