... a bit of a puzzler being a Hoe type, indicative of the earlier styles (around the 1910s) from Christy, et al, but giving other clues that it could well be a later one (say, into the 1930s). The Enders Safety RazorDifferent to the Keen Kutter and the Christy, it's the cap that comes away, the baseplate and comb guard attached to the handle on this one: ... and with a genuine blade in place ... ... we can slip the cap on and get to see the intended blade exposure: ... and see something which will become important later, how the blade depth holds the cap back to present the blade exposure: By happy coincidence, an injector blade will fit and this is another model which is just a fraction too tight so that the injector blade will have ever such a slight curve but be held in place very securely: ... but slip the cap back on and the blade is entirely coverered! Great though, that the tension in the cap permits it to be pulled back ever so slightly to present the blade: I'll save with it in due course and make my comparisons to the Keen Kutter and the Christy.

I've taken a hoe type for a spin but I think I much prefer a wifey type.

Paul, that's a nice one! I was going to get an Enders to compliment my Keen Kutter and Christy. I felt that they were all too similar that I decided not to pursue one. Good thing is that you spotlighted one! The blade looks somewhat of a hybrid between the K Kutter and Christy.
The Enders guard is like the Kutter's guard, I assume it will shave the same as the Keen Kutter. I would create a mod so that an injector blade would not move back, regardless of the amount of pressure.

... I've had a shave with it and I don't believe it was the blade, but it just didn't want to shave. I tried moving the blade presentation about and moved the cap a bit, but it just didn't want to work despite the blade being on my skin. That blade in the Keen Kutter worked, just to check it. I finished that shave with a Bic.
Ho-hum ... the Keen Kutter and Christy work, and work well.
