If the blade can be honed back to life, you'll be in for a nice treat. I used to own one of these (sold at cost to a guy in the UK who wanted to try cut-throat razors, but could not manage because of muscle dystrophy). The term "dialling in" has been much overused in the shaving scene, but this one will actually need dialling in. Enjoy!

A little bit of Simichrome bought the Rapide back to her original beauty. I honed the blade section going Chosera 1K, Nuba 5K, Tsushima Black with tomonagura, Ozuku Mizo Asagi with Asano Koma and tomonagura and a few laps on a Vermont Slate hone I just got and I'm still testing. The shave this morning was spectacular, aggressive yet smooth with no irritation. The handle on the Rapide is longer than I'm used to but this did not take away from the shaving experience.
