Bird, yes they do have slick moves. They also have expressive faces.
A few years ago a friend brought her dog over to play with ours. Red is a lone dog and doesn't see many other dogs. They were playing with a toy and Red appropriated it for his own and was laying down with it between his legs. Our Shadow drew his attention and in those few seconds our female dog snuck up and very gently stole the toy. When he turned back to get the toy the look of utter astonishment and "where did it go to?" look on his face was priceless! We all absolutely roared! Star has always been a thief. It's one of those time when I wish I had a video camera filming. We talk about that to this day at times.

Don't you have a hurricane coming in? Tropical storm. A heavy rain event. Looks like most of the rain stayed West of us here. I am predicting a busy hurricane season.

Thanks. Yes, I heard that it was just a T'storm this morning. Yes, It's early for a rotating storm isn't it?

Aww Maan...I hope not....I guess June is practically gone...Unbelivable how fast this year is shooting by...Whew!
Well lets hope for the best But.....just incase, you should start stocking up and practicing...to get your Hurricane Party Chops up and running....
But before I go off on preparing for a Hurricane Party...I hope your place is on high land....above flood level or far from coast....Right? Is your place Hurricane Proof? I used to live in St. Pete...so I know the drill...but my house, though a few blocks from Boca Ciega Bay was in a not gonna flood zone...So I could rest easy...How is your place?

:-) Plenty of gas for the genny' so that he can make ice for those folks who want it. A water filter to have safe water to splash in the scotch.
If I lived in LA I think I'd live on a houseboat so that if the water rose it would be meaningless. But there might be a good reason not to live on a houseboat (cottonmouths and gators come visiting?).
Full flap holster to protect the sidearm.

I'm tickled. New flashlight comin' in today. The most expensive one I've purchased to date. I'm pretty tight and I put off getting one of these, but with a recent $50 price drop I had to drop the hammer on it. It'll probably be an "old" light soon having been superseded by a new and brighter model. But that doesn't make the M43 less bright or any larger. intl-outdoor.com/noctigon-418650-meteor-m43-p-864.htmlI have other super high performance lights, but this will be the highest performance light by far for sheer output. I think of lights such as these as dragsters. Lots of output for a short time, some run out of juice extremely quickly when putting out full output. Of course the cells last much longer if the full output isn't required. Too, they get very hot very quickly. The Meteor probably draws over 20 amps on turbo and can't do that for long before overheating.

Hurricane Party Central.....And make sure you have stocked up on the important Survival stuff.....Scotch.....Chips......Scotch.....Toilet Paper......Scotch.....
Give the people you want to invite walkie talkies or two way radios...and have a weekly rehersal....When you beep them they come runnin and bring Flashlights, Toilet Paper and Scotch or Bourbon....and CDs...
And just incase, the worse happens...you might want to keep a sears catalog in one of those "Break Glass In Case Of Emergency" metal boxes on the wall...lol!
Yep....SD's right....make sure the generator is in good shape....for the AC...and ice for the Scotch and Mohitos...

SD that light sounds awesome! I am not so good in low light so I try tokeep lights around.
My Apartment is fairly high. I am on the bottom floor. No gennie though. My Dad still lives out in the Bayou so if he comes he will bring one. I keep food on tap and water. It is a normal thing for me. The tp is stacked in the bathroom closet. Usually I end up on the work emergency team too,so may not be home much during a storm.
