I have used the Boots original shave stick a few times now. I am really liking it. To me it is a lot like a LEA or BEA stick but has a nice clean scent. These are kind of like Williams in the UK I hear. A drug store brand that is cheap and everywhere. Anyone else tried the very nice shave sticks?

I have both the stick and the bowl. I'm almost certain they are the same soap. The performance is OK, but the scent is utterly uninspiring and boring. I'll pick Tabac over this any day of the week. Maybe I like my soaps dirty, not clean. The Boots stick is neither cheap (at £1.75 it's 3.5 times the price of Palmolive), nor available everywhere. I've only ever seen it in a single (large) Boots so far, but maybe they were low on stock when I checked over a year ago... (These days, I only go into Boots to put on some Drakar Noir from a sampler, to reinforce my belief that it is a lovely scent, but too expensive to buy)

It's been years since I used Boots, but when I did I liked the performance and scent. Others have described the scent as marijuana.

I agree with Riverrun: it's not bad but the scent is very generic and performance-wise I tend to prefer the Palmolive stick, which is also cheaper.

In Croatia I can find just Palmolive cream. No stick, but I heard lot of good things about it. Boots is mistery to me.

Used the Boots shave stick for my shave before work. It was a great lather with a vie long horse hair brush. Top quality lather and unlike some I like the scent.

Well someone said the scent was like "marijuana"....so I guess you are digging the olfactory response because...it's like a stoll down memory lane? Just making a wild guess...}8^))

I wrote that regarding what others said about the scent. I don't get that scent from it at all either.
