Today I received a bit belated Christmas present, a beautiful Ever Ready LC 1904-11. Can’t wait to put it to work in a few hours... will update on the shave of the day. Wish me luck!

Sweet! That must have been in a case, looks too good to have been loose! You gonna use a wedge or a GEM blade?

And that's straight from Waits Compendium. Based and on the handle I'd say it's closer to 1904 than 1911, but that's guesswork. My biggest complaint about Waits Compendium is the lack of sources and reasoning. Every time Waits claims something like 1904-1911, I want to know why he makes that claim. One day I'll have have one of those myself...

Sweet! That must have been in a case, looks too good to have been loose! You gonna use a wedge or a GEM blade? It really is a looker! But the previous owner didn’t have the box, unfortunately. I used it today with a GEM modern blade and it was a perfect match. I have a Heljestrand wedge and I will try it to see if it fits but the ability to use a modern blade is fantastic! corto that looks awesome. How did you date it to 1904? I have one like it that shaves great! We are starting to get more LC razors in the ranks!!! I gave it a range between 1904-1911... I can’t find a reliable source to date it more accurately than that. And you were the enabler of me chasing one of these beauties so... thanks hehehe corto that looks awesome. How did you date it to 1904? I have one like it that shaves great! And you will love one of these for sure... good luck with the hunt Nice! Use it in good health! Thank you Brian!

The best part is the shave. corto as I mention in one of my videos be sure to check the blade in the frame. All the way around. It can be behind the stop and still sticking out the side....that can sting a bit.
