This went for less than I thought it might. On it's way to me. You lucky dog. That is one of the very few I really want to find. Congratulations! Use in good health.

It was listed as " Ever Ready shaving kit" in "Barber shop Shaving" . Guess I just got lucky that no one else recognised it as the Sun Ray. Although, I don't think it is in perfect condition, one picture seems to show a little brass

You were very lucky then, i assume the brassing problem could be solved easily. I would love to find one in perfect condition, but i'll never say no to a cased one in user grade.

A least if they are not mint you are not afraid to use them as they are supposed to be used. Unfortunately this looks like it may be a chip in the chrome from a drop. Misused ?! Not that I am complaining it was a great find/deal and when it arrives I will have a better idea.

When i started buying vintage SE's i made some mistakes getting razors that take proprietary blades only... They really look nice but... that's not the point! I never have used any wedge blades on my razors 'cause i need to someone restore/hone them, i have no knowledge/experience on that so i use GEM blades whenever is possible.

I know, my max bid was $100 so... Also the Auto Strop Army kit auction from the same seller closed really high. Put the words MUSEUM & MINT on the description and people go crazy... I've seen those "museum/mint" listings lately. Although some of the razor are rare, they hardly look mint IMO.
