Another new to me 1910 GJB. This is one fine shaving razor and everything just came together. I think this is the best looking for all my lather catchers too. This one does contain a rather extended rant on technique over blade hopping. Feel free to turn the volume down.

Nice lather catcher, Fuzzy. Yep, I am still shaving with those original Gem Jr. Cutlery blades that Tom honed for me. Send those blades to Tom. You are correct. Technique is everything. When you get good technique, you can shave with just about any combination.

Speaking of technique, swmbo bought me a black adjustable Gillette unmentionable from my birth year. Because I have solid technique I was able to pick it up, and within a couple of strokes find the right angle and got a dfs The best hardware doesn't mean anything if you can't use it. Similar to those guys that think they need a bigger caliber to buck the wind more, or a better more powerful scope, but jerk the trigger. The best tools can't compensate for bad technique.

I need to build an AMEN button.

Could you elaborate a bit more on those 'pressure', 'angle' and 'technique' issues you briefly mentioned in the video?
