I wish I had 15 more picks of it. I do believe that there were 3 different "models" or types made if my memory serves me correctly. None of them are bad, and they lather very well. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Colgate compares favorably to Williams. Unfortunately it is only available as NOS. Attachments:

Colgate is awesome stuff. I am thinking of getting a group buy up for some mug soap. I also have barbershop and cup soap. I can not really tell difference in them. I have seen a ad for the barbershop cakes from 1917. Used the cup soap today actually.
It lathers to me like vintage Williams. Not really any scent though.

I agree with OS, Jim, and Fuzzy. Colgate is awesome stuff. I believe it was the first soap I ever used as it was less expensive than Old Spice. It was a drug and grocery store staple when I was growing up. In the past I have received many vintage pucks from members here. Like the folks said it loses its scent but still lathers great.

As Alan said, I to have been on the receiving end of a vintage puck. The performance is top notch. Scent doesn't matter as far as performance goes, but it does help in my humble opinion. On the grounds of having another brick tossed at me, and once again losing my CT, I will refrain from telling those that would like to know how to put a scents back in it.

There is no brick for scenting a soap you know. Tell away.

So, the Mrs. Has been on an essential oil kick lately. Well, I hijacked her spearmint, peppermint, lavender, and gardenia oils. I get the brush soaking in super hot water, then I take 2-3 drops of oil, into the water. Now as all good country folk know, oil and water don't mix. So, the oil sits on top of the water. When I did the bristles of my brush in the water it gets a bit of the oil on the brush. It doesn't mess up the lather, as it is a small amount comparatively speaking. Also, right before I load the brush, a couple quick drops on the puck and some in the water, works out well. Still trying to get the ratios exact, but I'll get there soon.
