I checked this out for ordinaryshaver. I weighed my micromatics on my scale and here are the results. As you suspected, Aaron, the bullet tip is heavier than the MMOC and MMCP.

Good to know Jim! It's not by much, bit still enough to make a difference in the performance, at least for me. Statistically speaking the difference is less than the margin of error, however it is cool to know what the actual weight is.

It's just like I told you on the YouTube video and Jim's scale confirms it, the Flying Wing is only about .20oz heavier than the other Micromatics. The difference in weight is insignificant, I don't see how that effects performance anyway.

That said.... the older models are favorites over the flying wing to me.

The Clog Pruf may be my favorite of the three.

The Clog Pruf may be my favorite of the three. I come n as a tie with the MM and the clog pruf. If I had to choose one it would be the MM though,

After using all 3, I thought I'd see, feel or notice a distinct difference between them either during the shave or with the results, but I really didn't. Perhaps it's my lack of experience and/or sophistication -- I've got real trouble telling the difference between wine in a box and wine in a bottle. If pressed, I do think each razor gets a touch milder as you go down in age.
Despite having no stark differences, my overall preference is the Micromatic. It was my first SE and it's like eating comfort food when I shave with it....just feels right -- I've also got a thing for open combs in general. Second in line for me would be the Flying Wing. Could just be the "recency-effect", but I really enjoyed that razor -- very smooth feeling and a nice close shave. Lastly for me is the ever-popular Clog-Pruf. It was an absolutely fine shaver, but it was also the unlucky tool that I used with my scraper blade...I think it unjustly wears a psychological scar from that experience. Regardless, I will continue to make time for all 3, they really are great razors.

While this may seem insignificant to some, to me, it's a big deal. I find that the actual weight of a razor makes a difference in my shaves. I haven't mentioned it before, but having moderate to extreme arthritis, the position of my hands and weight of an object can make a significant difference in how long I am able to grasp or use an object.

I just got a new MMOC in chrome/nickel. It weighs in at 65g, too.
