Joe from IB posted this prototype 1/2 DE /SE razor head on Instagram and Twitter. Very interesting idea!

That head is most certainly based on the RR Hawk v2 I like the blade holding pin design.

Hmmm.. One thing I like about SE is the thicker blades. That is not going to be the case here. But this will have the lowest cost blades for SE bar none and if you snap them yourself the widest selection of blades which seems to matter to the unmentionable users more than it should in my opinion.

Very interesting. I'll get one when Fuzzy gets one. Don't hold your breath. I have a Starling only because it was given to me...

I have no interest in any of the "new" SEs, if it aint over 50 years old, it's not for me!

This type of razor uses double-edged half-blades. In a word, SHaDE. (Single Edge Half DE) I like the RazoRock Eco. It resumes the shapes of the Hawk, positive for me. Even more because it is made of aluminum. What I don't like in theory (I don't know it) is the blade. The main advantage of the SE, definitely more powerful. Especially the modern, Artist Club type (Feather, Kai, Schick, ...) But I started reading the first impressions of linuxguile, and they look good. theoriginalsafety2.com/post/70818/threadtheoriginalsafety2.com/post/70855/threadWhat do you think, do you like this type of razor?

It looks a lot like the Starling. Probably will shave/feel the same.

The best feature of this razor IMO is the ability to shave at a super shallow angle letting the blade cut the whiskers with no scraping of the skin. This is also a very loud razor and shaving with it is like buttering toast!
