Friday 1st November Clubman Shave Butter (Pre Shave) Cyril R. Salter Shaving Soap (Tallow) Simpson Eagle G3 Badger Brush TNNSER 3D with a GEM SS PTFE Blade (#10) Thayers Witch Hazel with Cucumber Dove Moisturiser Pinaud Lilac Vegetal After 10 shaves....the blade performance is starting to drop off. I have never had as many shaves from a single GEM Blade and I can't remember when I last had 10 consecutive shave with the same razor. It is time for a change tomorrow! 3 passes for a DFS+ finish:) That was a lot of shaves on one blade. Also nice choice on AS. TOM

Friday 1st November Alpha T400 - OSP Spice Road prototype - RazoRock ECO - ½ Personna Lab Blue - Alum - Old Spice A/S - Aloe Vera Gel I'm happier now I've found a blade that suits the ECO. I'm now a bit more positive about this razor.

01/11/2019 Pre: Pears Transparent Original Brush: Vintage Butterscotch Culmak 1950 Soap: Vintage GIBBS 1950's Razor: Ever ready HFT E- Bar Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (5) Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Witch Hazel Balm: Bart's Balm Bergamot and Vanilla Balm & Lotion Aftershave: Copycat Executive A very enjoyable shave today with the HFT E-Bar. I find i need to give a little more respect to these razors than the new version SE's but boy , are you rewarded. I love using the vintage Culmak Plus, its a lovely brush and works wonders in my Stephen Llewellyn Bowl, i used about an almond sized dollop of the Vintage Gibbs and mixed, it did seem very thirsty and i may have added a bit much, the resulting lather it gave me was wonderful and enough for the shave and some. The scent is still there although faint and it is old fashioned clean. The Audio feedback from the XTG and ATG passes just brings a wide smile to my face. As i said earlier these razors need a bit more respect especially if i am not using them daily, the shave angle is easy to find because of the wonderful sound track. I managed to pick up a small weeper (delayed) just under the chin on my WTG pass. Its all about the Angle. Nothing much from the block and the Barts Balm just sorts everything out for me. A splash of Copycat Executive and i am feeling very happy indeed. I would class the finish as DFS++, i have been spoilt of late using the General & Vector although i have to say today's shave was very much as enjoyable and much more involving. Have a great Evening All

Cold Water Rinse De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap Jayaruh #30RS TNNSER 3D Black/Green CVS CS SE CWR Lucky Tiger AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #30RS Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the TNNSER 3D Black/Green razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor: GEM Featherweight Blade: GEM SS PTFE (20) Soap: Proraso Blue Brush: OPAL #12 Handle with Synthetic Knot A/S: Witch Hazel, Pinaud Clubman Reserve Gent's Gin
It's been awhile since I've used a Featherweight, got a fine shave with my GEM stainless steel blade on it's 20th use but I think it may be time to retire that one.

Still using the Proguard Blade. which is still delivering very comfortable Shaves with a great close all round finish.
