That is a nice set. I have a metal case or two. Can not remember if it is a 1924 or 14 set though. I will have to look into that.

The 14 sure is an aggressive gal, bit me once or umm several times. But when a BBS is desired, it never comes up short that's for sure Since using straights quite a bit, that 14 has gotten real lonely.

Nice! I just scored one with the case and all for $9 bones. Nice score. I have yet to land the little lather catcher. Let us know how she works for you.

My history with the ER '14 has psychologically scarred me. My first and gorgeous cased set was broken (unknown to me), and was incredibly mild. The posts conforming that still exist on this forum. It was suggested to me on a number of occaisions that, well, my word, I was nuts.
Long story made short. I got a new one and sold the other with full disclosure. The other was fixed by the new owner and is now working fine. My new one also works fine.
Why scarred? I remember how mild the first '14 of mine was and it's pretty much the last razor I choose when I look in my cabinet. But today I used it and it's really quite a nice razor. I think I'll use the new blade I put into it today until it gets canned (the blade). Maybe that will drive home the fact of how nicely the little lather catcher actually performs.
