I stoppped in an out of the way antique store and bought an Ever Ready Brush. The color is orange/butterscotch, with different tones swirling through it. It is fluted on the top and bottom of the handle with a tapered waist. The bottom of the handle says Ever Ready, set in rubber, and 73 CA. I'm assuming that means made in California in 1973? I'll try to get time to post some pics tomorrow. I'll have to get this re-knotted I'm thinking.

Alan, nice score! Ive restored several ER brushes and they are wonderful to use. Not sure if you have done any before, if not just be careful drilling out the knot since it is set in rubber. I really have no idea on the 73CA markings. Nonetheless, enjoy! Looking forward to pics

Looking forward to drilling this handle out and prepping it for Alan. Any wet shaving enthusiast owes it to themself to do at least one brush restoration. It's a simple process but one you can't rush. I enjoy it.
