I have seen threads that talk about nipping the corners off the SE blades to fit in the VC1. Is it really necessary and how much is removed?

Here is a video on how to do that from Dave. Hope this helps you out. If you want to pop me an addy I will send you a couple of the Feather SE blades.

I don't cut the corners off and they seem to fit fine, at least on the models I have.

Thank you very much. Long live Lord Fuzzy, who has helped save Jack, aka Blade Runner from certain death, and bestowed up me some kingly treasure.

Definitely de-spine, but for the Valets without guide pins (like the VB1 & VC1) you don't need to snip off the corners. Corner snipping is, however, necessary for the Wilkinson Sword Empires.
